I don’t usually write anything like this but why not. It just hit me that tomorrow is going to be the last time anyone is ever going to see Kobe Bryant play in the NBA ever again. I remember sitting on my auntie’s lap and watching Kobe and Shaq win that back to back championship on TV like it was yesterday and it’s just ridiculous. Kobe Bryant along with Tracy McGrady played a huge role in my childhood and is still the reason I play basketball today. Don’t get me wrong, KD is my dude but before KD it was Kobe Bryant and T-Mac. Watching those guys soar for a jam, clutch it with 10 seconds on the clock or just be great was truly inspiring and a blessing. I’m just really sad knowing that Kobe is done for good. Kobe was my Michael Jordan. Shooting trash into the trash can yelling “Kobe” because everyone wanted to be like Kobe. Kids now a day want to be like Steph Curry, play like Steph Curry and idolize him like he’s a god which isn’t a bad thing, Curry is doing something amazing right now in this era, but back in the day, Kobe Bryant was THAT guy. So this is just my personal goodbye to Kobe I guess. Thank you Kobe for being one of the most iconic players to ever play the game.
